Chessie gave you some good websites to look at.We live in Maryville,TN just outside the Smokies..beautiful roads to ride here. My ol man moved here from St Louis 7 years ago and he loves it. I got  a few biker campsites but can't find the sites at the moment, will try to get them to you in the next couple of days.   Terrie

Here's a good website for the info you are looking for: http://www.smokeymountainrides.com/

For more information on each state you are looking to ride in, including TN and NC, check out this website: http://www.motorcycleroads.com/index.htm

This next site is pretty good too.  http://www.motorcycleroads.us/regions/nc_smokey.html

When I am looking for a riding adventure, such as you discribe, I try to hit as many websites as possible, looking for things that would be of intrest to me, not always motorcycle related, that would be fun.  Like this summer, I am gonna be up around Grandfather Mountain for the Scottish Highland games, I have invited a few people to join me...so I can mix motorcycles with something unique and fun...not just the same o- same- o runs and rallies.  I hardly ever stick to a "plan"...This year, I also plan to be down near Cherokee again, and I am gonna do some rafting, or kyaking...I like to mix my adventures up a bit, making them stand out from each other.  Hope this helps you to figure out what ya gonna do for your ride!
