I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER PASSION (BESIDES BIKERS,TRUCKERS & BIKES, LOL) AND THAT IS SERVING THOSES WHO "SUFFER IN SILENCE"
It’s a fact that many of our men and women who serve or have served in the military suffer from “mental health issues”, such as PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Explosive Anger Disorders, Physical pain, illnesses and injuries and many other Combat Stress Disorders. (This is also true for our Police Officers and Firefighters)
Mental health injuries are the same as any other injury. Sometimes, soldiers are over medicated, or sometimes mis-diagnosed and treated with NONE of the urgency given to the physically wounded. Many may not receive the proper treatment, education, support or follow-up care needed just to survive.
I once read that - A person with mental illness CAN recover even though the illness is NOT “cured”.
Also that RECOVERY is a way of living a satisfying, hopeful and contributing life, even with the limitations caused by illness.
Recovery involves the purpose in ones life as one grows beyond the catastrophic effects of mental illness.
Just because you suffer from a “mental dis-ease”, that doesn’t mean you can’t live a happy fulfilled life, and you shouldn’t be ignored and left to help yourself.
I may not be able to help all those who are suffering in silence, but if I help one then that’s a start.
I’m putting together a foundation called “WAFAW” which stands for “WARRIOR ANGELS for ABLE WARRIORS” I came up with this name, because I believe WE are ALL WARRIOR ANGELS fighting for a cause.
Also to change the way people think about our “mentally disabled warriors”. Which is simple, our “mentally Wounded Warriors”WHO ARE SUFFERING IN SILENCE, in spite of their disabilities are still “ABLE” to live a functioning, happy life and that there is hope.
WE MUST HELP ALL WHO SUFFER IN SILENCE.
So with this in mind I have a PLAN….
First- I am putting together a riders club, with chapters all over the world, in support of our able warriors.
Second- I would like to open a Holistic Healing Center – to serve our mentally wounded able-warriors and their families. The center would include a full spectrum of services, patient centered medicine (traditional and non-traditional), treatment, recovery, prevention, support, crisis intervention, education and more.
If you are interested in becoming part of this cause.
Just add yourself as a friend and shot me an e-mail.

Thanks for stopping by, come often and visit. Together we can laugh, cry, and support each other.
WE MUST TAKE A STAND IN SUPPORT OF THOSE SUFFERING IN SILENCE... Hugs, Love and Respect, Pauline (Nena) aka BikerLover
