Went to Rockahock Saturday for the Chickahominy Bike Classic.  Had a great time.  Drank too much and smoked a few cigars.  All part of a weekend.

Heading down to Rockahock for the Chickahominy Bike Classic.  I'm so excited!  Leaving in 2 hours... on the back of a Honda VTX 1800.  Was supposed to go last night, too, but didn't make it... Oh well, one day is better then none.

I hope that there aren't any of us among this bike web community that have lost a family member or friend at the terrible tragedy that occurred at VA Tech yesterday (4.16.07).  I'm that in some way it has affected us- either by a direct loss, someone who was injured, or has family and friends that were connected to the VA Tech community.  Myself, am lucky that my cousin was not harmed.  My cousin is a recent Tech graduate, but continues to work at a lab on the campus. He was working out at the gym during the massacre.  His sister is also a Tech graduate and I'm sure that between the two of them and other members of their neighborhood are feeling loss and grief.  I write this short note of my own sadness and shock in hopes that if any of us are enduring grief and loss that you may be comforted by family and friends during the difficult time.
