8-16-08 Sunny & Tyke Go North
DATE: 17 Aug 2008, 12:23 pm / MOOD: Tired

It all began in the early hours of a Saturday. Not just any Saturday. Saturday August 16th, 2008. I had been told by a friend that I simply must, emphasis on must, go on a ride with Armadillo/Greg. His next one coming up is set for Saturday and of course if I must, I must. It would not only be a great time but also break two of Sunny and Tyke’s previous records.

So it is Saturday morning and I find myself going the distance, though not as far as some, to go on a ride that will let me explore some more. The meet time is between 8:30am and 9am at a Park and Ride. Well after some long deliberation, checking the net for that park and ride and finding it in the GPS I decide it’s a go! So by my calculations I must get up at 6:30am be out of the house by 7, spring Tyke and be on the road by 7:30. Done, done and done.

I did have my camera out for my not so wonderful slap trip to the Park and Ride…

It feels weird to be moving and you look at your GPS unit and wham! You see your supposed to be underwater!! What what what!! It is a good thing I was in the tunnel! Haha!

Playing with Shadows

Saw this and was like wow… Could you fit anymore on that truck?

It had three different things on it. The gazebo was like the caboose!

I was the first to arrive and so I played around… I suppose the question at this point is whether or not Sunny could leave the camera alone when stopped… That would be rhetorical.

Someone finally showed up as I was finishing up and I got to meet Scott. The rest slowly trickled in. One even passed us and went the wrong way… hummm

Dave’s bike and Tyke

Jason, Scott, Greg, and Dave

Ahh the lost one is found, after Jason had to go fetch him and many games of phone tag…

So we are going to be off. Greg is going to lead the group and I will sweep. I figure this is good. I have a GPS so if we get lost I can at least find our way somewhere and Greg has my number. I also like this idea because no matter how modest those Motardies are they can always kick Tyke’s and my butts on the road. It was a good choice as you will soon find out…

List of Escorts:
Armadillo – Greg

Scott

HondaHawk – Jason

DrnkMonkey – Chris

Dbomb1050 – Dave

John

Windblown – James

Let us get onto the road!

And they are off! Proof that I found the right location in the group, and we are on a good surfaced road, for now…

Mild means so many different things. Truly. Throughout this ride you will see the gents at a distance or up close. If it is up close they have either A: Stopped to wait at one stop/turn or another, or B: Got stuck behind a car.

This truly was a group that I would recommend to anyone as it didn’t matter your pace they always waited and if the wait was to long they sent someone back for you. I won’t name any names, Chris, but some of us are directionally challenged. Either way we always found our way back to the group.

Ma! Them thar Mountains again!!

Corn fields, still good roads!

Some trees

Open roads again

Erp! Spoke to soon! One lane road!

Keep a look out! Though I didn’t see any on the road it is still nice to have the warning, we are back on two lane paved roads too!

Relatively clear skies

They really do go the distance! And their gone!

Those mountains are teasing me again!

My pocket- hehe

With this photo I realize I need to work on my timing but I was excited at what I saw ahead that I forgot I had a camera and took the photo to soon! This is the entrance sign, you can kind of see it off on the right, to Loys Station Covered Bridge! One of the few covered bridges in Maryland! And we found it without me mentioning it! Whoo hoo!

We didn’t stop to play here, which would have been nice but now I know where it is I can go back.

A railroad bridge, still on good roads!

I have to stop thinking about the roads. I mean really… a thing to note about this road is it is paved but covered by gravel. Yes Gravel! I didn’t get a close up of it.

At the crest of the above road I looked out and saw…

I wished I had more time to take more photos of this valley it was very pretty but I knew the others would be waiting for me and might think terrible things had happened like I got attacked by bigfoot or the UFO had abducted me, you know something like that. I couldn’t let my escorts worry so I just snapped that one photo and moved on.

One more picture of the gravel road

Off again!

We were coming into town and there was a corner you had to go through to get to it and as I start rounding it, so you know it’s not exactly a blind turn, this van pulls out and cuts me off from the rest! He saw me coming too I know he did because I looked into his face… I snapped a picture so I would remember that yes everyone is out to get me. (Yes I blocked out his license plate too. I am not that angry at the guy)

We were riding along and we got stopped at a light and I look forward to see Chris scrambling for his camera in his tank bag. I wonder what the big deal is and look over. I think this was it but… I can’t understand why … Tehe! Kidding, about the understanding part…

Back into the trees!

This hwy again! (See the Seeking the Shoe House)

Chris trying to be a sneaky photo ninja and get James

James is not to be fooled with grasshopper! Only a true photo ninja could capture me without respite!

A brief check on our location

And the corn goes on and on and on and on…

I think at this point I have pointed out a great deal of things I have seen. But that is not all I did. I smelled a bunch of stuff too and most of it was not pleasant. O.o … I am not sure but when we got into PA the smells just made me gag a few times. It may be that I hadn’t smelled them before because of my other helmet but man! It smelled like 3 skunks had been killed in one spot at one point!

Getting back on track, back to a goatish road. Though I do have to admit I like this picture. The skies out here are sooo blue and the clouds so white and everything is green. And of course the corner sign is yellow… Hehe

Cloud check, still good

Our second or third stop for the day for gas had a beautiful backdrop. First Pan shot of the day…

The guys

Me, using the restroom mirror

Bridge!

We make it to Millersburg Ferry , established between 1817 & 1820.

They have a very basic way of communicating a request for transport

Some artsy shots:

Oh wait that’s Greg! Hehehe!

Sunken Guard. This was used to help guide the boat into landing

Genius tourists

Signs of the times

Ah our ride appears

The Roaring Bull V, though built in 1998 it mirror’s it’s predecessors in almost every way from the planked bottom to the passenger seating area. It’s 83 feet long. It’s powered by a 57 hp Deuetsch Diesel Engine.

Loaded in

The Paddle

Engine House

This chain is along the rail but it matches the one turning the paddle.

Passenger house

Some shots of the water as we passed

The other side

Some of the River Grass we passed over someone should really see about mowing that hehehe.

And we are off again!

To find lunch!

For lunch we stop over in Millersburg. Unfortunately most of the town was shut down for a bicycle race. Those folks can move! They lean over more than Tyke and I do and their wheels are smaller! That and they ride so close together! Scary! Well the bad side is that the Pizza shop we were going to eat at was closed the good was that we ended up here:

A few images from their wall
Picture of the town

Etched image of the Falcon, the other Ferry

Our server was to quick for me! She ducked!

But was a good sport about it. I am sure she will be happy to know it turned out blurred. Though I am not.

Someone suggested I take a picture of the utensils… so I did. Nothing particularly exciting about them…

Dave, Scott, Greg, and Jason

Lunch! A club sandwich and the fries came on a separate plate. Good stuff!

Someone ordered broccoli! Your not supposed to eat healthy on a ride! Sheesh!!

Apparently Dave didn’t get that memo! It’s alright we forgive you!

A Market Square Park

A memorial at the park

This is one of the historical explanations but I forgot to take a picture of the upper right hand corner to complete it for a pan shot. I’ll be better next time! I swear!

So after lunch it was decided to head to somewhere called Centralia PA. Now not being from here or anywhere near here I just go “Okay!” And poof we are gone!

Odo just after lunch

Still have good happy clouds

Hi Chris!

Now those that have been reading for a while know that Tyke and I travel a lot. It is not often that I get to see the change over. Tyke is getting to be so grown up… I have to take her in to get another check up soon!

Wooohooo! 9,000 miles!

Placement check

This cloud does not look happy!! But that’s okay we passed it!

Yet another stop for refreshment for bike and rider found us near a small monument in Independence PA (think that’s where we were…)

(I pan shot but this time from the bottom up. I think it turned out quiet nice)

The water, through my sunglasses looked Orange! I kid you not!

Ten miles from Centralia

James

I learned that Centralia used to be a coal-mining town that had been deserted and the mines, or hill in this case, was on fire! But it is not a visible fire like one’s attacking California. No this whole hill’s insides were on fire! (For more details visit the Wikipedia site )

Well what have we gotten ourselves into now! Gravel! A whole lot of it! Alright Tyke be cool, I’ll be cool and we will make it through this in one piece.

Windmills across the valley from the top of Centralia

A church across the valley

Chris and John

Chris’ bike

One of the smoking vents. You can’t see the smoke from this picture but I swear it was!

Here! Above the guy in the blue shirt’s head. That white spot? That’s smoke!

Cloud Coverage

Some of the guys, the ones on the Motards, decide to check out the dirt paths

Scott decided to play a bit more than the others and goes again!

I did get some pictures of them all coming over a bump but this man and his wife refused to get out of the picture frame because they wanted to watch too! Grrr! So they either blocked the jump itself or the front of the bike! Ruined by spectators! So I deleted them. Sigh.

Scott played a little to hard and gets a flat!

Greg checking for the leak

How many men does it take to discover it is a flat? All of ‘em!

Wait where’s Chris!? Ahh there he is… Playing Photog..

They decide to head down to the pavement to put in a new tube and fix it. The Sport bikers decide to play around a little more then join them.

Hey Chris!

Down another path is an old Cemetery

Some nice (fake) flowers for decoration

Man and Beast

Wait a second…Amended: Man, Beast, and Technology!

Photo op while they continue to fix the tire. Don’t worry with as many hands in that kitchen there were plenty of chiefs.

I return back to the guys to find them diligently working on fixing the tire.

Greg has this nice pump that can be hooked up to a bike to use to compress air into the tire to fill it up.

A few more killin time shots, kind of artsy

Yay!! All fixed with little to no grease. GO Greg!! Whoo hoo! Scott owes ya!

Next we go check out this other area and at first John and I are hesitant as wellll the entrance is little bigger than my own shoulders… O.o (What the heck!) Er Greg? You serious!? And he was like “Yes. It is only for about 20ft. Trust me” o.O okay… I didn’t get any pictures going in until we went out but this is the area just after that passage…

A road? Huh? O.o Sure is!

Albeit a bit over grown.

Turns out this was a road/highway that went through Centralia but it got closed down after it started buckling and well, melting due to the mine fire.

I have no idea what picture I was trying to take but it went along with the ones in the beginning and I think it is neat

Greg inspecting the sink hole

The bikes

Jason found a plateau above the sink where you could look down. It took a while but finally I was able to get the guys in the picture to sit still long enough to get a series of pictures to create this pan shot so I could picture it in zoom.

John Posing

Dave looking around

It was decided that the hour was getting late and some of the riders had a really long way to get home. It was the general coconscious to get home at a decent hour and so slab was chosen as the return route.

The exit is the same as the entrance

See!! It is sooo small! Anything bigger than the bikes we had wouldn’t have made it. That’s John going through in front of me.

One of the abandoned building on the new highway but still the populace is very limited except for visitors.

The last official stop on the ride to get a beverage to cool down, I had ice cream!

After that we rode off into the sunset!

But I still have a few more pictures to share! Don’t go anywhere yet! Sheesh!

Chris

Sunset

That was the last one of the ride itself. What time did I get in?
GPS Says:

How many miles did we cover?
Tyke says:

425!!! Whooo hoo!! Record from the Delta Ride (345) is beat!

Ponders for next time….

I really wish you could hear all of the thought conversations I had in my head during this ride. They were all very amusing well at least to me. It is sad really that I ride and come up with commentary for this exact thing, my ride log, and by time I actually sit down to write it I have forgotten it, or most of it. Or forgotten why I have taken a certain picture. Though sometimes I can see the picture and remember sometimes I don’t and I know there was a reason I took the picture. I will have to come up with a way to share this. Anyone know of a recorder I could get for my helmet or something?

8-10-08 Meeting MDRiders
DATE: 12 Aug 2008, 6:45 pm / MOOD: Happy

Alright! It is time for another ride packed adventure! Yes I know I went yesterday but really can one ride enough? Someone told me I needed to slow down or I will have explored all of MD before I know it. To them my reply was thus: There is always more to see and besides, ride while the riding is good! After all I have to ride my fill before the winter takes away my adventures!! So this gal is far from done!

So I am a member of a lot of forums and I enjoy chit chatting with everyone, discovering new things, places, and facts, not to mention getting help! These pleases, these online boards have become a very much-needed community for me since my move. In CA I depended a lot on one board for this need and it met it more than I had expected. Out here I have met and made friends with so many people I have more than one board. I love them all equally so it is about time I met some of them!

Last week Tyke and I met up with the crew from Maryland Cruisers so now it is time to meet the folks from MDRiders.com. Now how I came to be on this board is a blessing and a curse to me. Rina, the mod for MDRiders.com had done a search on Google to check out the name for her site. Well when she did she pulled up my forum, that no one talks on but me, and checked it out. She then decided to send me an email inviting me to check out her site. Well then! Lets see what she’s got! I checked it out and guess what I liked it! It is not as complex as some of the boards out there and right now there isn’t a lot of traffic but the members are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are so used to talking in person to each other they don’t really post up on the boards but perhaps one day that will change… The only thing is, and this just about broke my heart at first, they all live on the OTHER side of MD. Now MD isn’t huge like CA so it isn’t that drastic but they all live about an hour and a half, away and that is by slab (freeway). Ugggh ugggh ugggh and ick ick ick! But still. I want to see where this site goes. Perhaps, with the love and care already put into it, more people from my neck of the woods would come over and presto we have a wide spread community!

So far they have all tolerated me very well. When a chance of a BBQ came up… Er sorry I suppose that is supposed to be cookout… Sorry! To’may’to, ta’ma’to both are another word for Party! And that translates into any state’s lingo. Before the party, which along with being a cook out is a b-day party for GixxerChaos’ & a friend’s birthday, is a ride. What a better way to say hello… So I shoot an email to GixxerChaos, Chris, and find out full details.

Next thing you know I am on the road at 8am in the morning to make it to Germantown by 10. Full on slab the whole way! I was not pleased but it was the best way to get there. I got there a little early, even stopping to fill up, that was my plan though.

Arriving early means I am not late, arriving with a full tank means I am ready to ride! Bring it! Well the GPS isn’t exact and I actually rolled passed the house at first but the owner, and original poster, saw me and said “That has to be Tyke!” And it was. Hehe. I did find the house of course and was greeted warmly. I was tired and a bit sore from sitting so long.

Pause: Anyone else note that he recognized Tyke and not Sunny? This is a running trend. My bike, er Tyke rather, sssh don’t tell her I said it that way! Is more infamous than I am! Imagine that! Hehehe, its alright her headers aren’t getting any bigger for it. Hehe.

Anyway! So I get invited inside and go of course. Little did I know that two other members of the board are there and they don’t know I’m coming the sneaky sneaky man. So it was neat to be a bit of a surprise. As he calls up the stairs to let them know that someone else is here… then tacks on “BlueTyke” And I can certainly hear the surprise in their voices.

I was pleased at this, more than I thought I would be anyway, not to be vain or anything and really I don’t know why. Either way the two Chris surprised was none other than Rina, the Mod of MDRider and SlickF4i, John (or Jon? One can never tell by the name being pronounced.)

Needless to say it was great finally getting to meet these two. They have talked to me a lot and cheered me on in my adventures so it was great to meet them.

Moving on! Soon the bikes started arriving… And now it is time for more of the adventure.

I guess someone, I forgot his name (Sorry!) asked John to pick up a helmet for him and of course if you do anything like that you have to be reallllly trusting… Note to self: Don’t trust John as far as you can throw him, in a joking fashion of course!

So he is supposed to be getting this kicking Arai helmet. It came in an Arai bag, and it has the Arai tags but…. What is that in the bag?

Oppps I don’t think that was the one

Gee that looks a bit girly to me.. Not that I have anything against guys and flowers he just didn’t strike me as the type…

John got him good and I got the photo evidence of it hehehe. We make a great team John! The real helmet looked a lot manlier with green camouflage markings, what looked like rams horns along with bullets… O.o it looked cool though I promise! I’ll see if I got an actual picture of it later, though it might be on his head at the time.

The bikes:

Opps! That last one stayed home. I think even Tyke and I could take on that pair. The rider in that is Ron. He comes up more later…

Oh! I forgot a golden moment! Or practice, either way

No boys the cooler is staying here tooo (that’s Scotty sitting there with Ron)

More riders showed up, so thus more bikes

Rina, the MDR MOD Goddess, Aka Side Faerie (Hehehe!)

We going yet!? Come on it is already 10:30 lets get this ride started!

Still waiting!

We moved, around the corner… O.o

On the way to the gas station I had my camera out and ready to snap some pictures so when I came up along side John and Rina I snapped a shot apparently she wasn’t expecting that.

Back to waiting

And off we go! I cannot describe to you where the pictures were taken as I was fairly lost and was trying to keep up. This is no insult to them, I’m sure, but they liked to be a bit more spirited than Tyke wanted to go so I stuck towards the back. Which was cool because I was not alone! Whoo hoo! Yay for the Pace! No one pushed or forced me to go faster than I felt comfortable. They even waited for me to wave them passed which was very cool. A+ for ride ethics.

I am not sure who’s bike this was but I happened to cut most of the bike and the rider out of it, not on purpose of course, I think it still looks cool though. (we could play a game of name that bike! Haha!)

Mark… with John and Rina as ants in the back

If you notice, Rina is waving, She saw the Photo Ninja! Run hide! Set off the smoke bombs… I am kidding..

A quick shot of John but I got his bike… I still like this picture. Not to many moving pictures focus on the front end

Kind of a group shot, everyone is in front of me hehe

A bridge! They always find me!

Look ma! Them thar mountains again!

Ron on his Duke

Apparently it is new to him and he was practicing keeping his wheel down. He was having a real hard time of it is it would randomly come up! O.o he should get that looked into! Hehehe!

A few others kept catching that wind too.. It was odd Tyke and I had no problems but these others must be light weights! Hah!

Chris-

A good one of Ron,

Speedy-Go-Chris!

I am not sure who this is, they all look so different with gear on!

This one is George!

Hummm where are we??? Really I was aiming for a mirror shot of those behind me and I got it and the GPS

this next series of photos were taken of one person within the span of like… a minute, minute and a half. I forgot what his name is but I was totally amused watching him…

Legs down:

Legs over the passenger hand grip:

He did transition to superman in the middle of this but I wasn’t quick enough to get that picture. Here he is standing:

The jester up close:

And that wasn’t all. That’s just what I got in pictures. When we were passing some cyclists he mimicked them peddling their bikes. It was so funny and certainly unexpected.

I will note that while he did that, I might have been far back but it wasn’t because I didn’t feel comfortable. It just he was riding a bit faster than I was. I didn’t see him wiggle, wobble or jiggle at all. When I asked him about it later, well more to the fact that I told him he was damn funny to watch, he told me that he had leg cramps.

Is that a twisty I see??? Why yes, yes it is!

We did hit quiet a few roads that were very nice for Tyke and I. One we did twice, there and back, because the turns were flowing and you could go faster. So we did a run up it then back down it again. After that we headed back for the party!!

Meet the guardian cat, watcher of the stairs… Luckily he let me pass as I really had to use the bathroom. Just kidding! This is a loving kitty that is an attention whore.

Rina and I, Photo by John

Bike parking

MDRiders got some stickers and since we were all there it was a good time to make sure everyone had them, I had already gotten my through the mail, Thanks Rina!

So the question stands… How many men does it take to put a sticker on a bike?

Ladies we have the answer! 4!  One to hold the other stickers, two to do the work, and one to supervise!

It was alllll worth it though

No I didn’t put any stickers on Tyke. I have yet to do so. Hesitant really. I’ll look into a license plate cover though!

The grub!

Lets give this name thing a shot:

From left to right, Mike, Scotty, Jodi (kneeling), Michael, and Paul

From left to right, Jerry, someoneIdontknow, George, and Ron

Mark and Reggie getting the grub on

Mark

Lynn… ssshhhh I wasn’t supposed to take her picture…. Hehehe

Lynn, Ron, and Kimmy (And no Lynn was not riding or driving)

Lynn’s bum, Sean, John, Paul, Reggie, Ron, the neighbor, and the yellow beemer

Lynn (wow I did get a lot of pictures of her! Eeep!), Chris (Haapppy birthday!), and half of Scotty

Yes Chris can take pictures too! Scotty and Kimmy, along with Reggie’s knee.

The cake:

No they aren’t 58 but they added the years together so not to have to many candles.

Jodi!

I was told this was the proper way to photograph Lynn so I thought I would share that sentiment with Rina… Hehehe

This is how this picture goes: Reggie sits down on Lynn’s lap… She goes “Oww my nuts” and he goes “What nuts?” Can you tell?

More grub!

Rina, Zack’s roommate, a guy I don’t know blocking Ron and next to him is Ana (sorry we didn’t say hi! I had to get going soon after you got there! Next time!)

Rina I didn’t think the drink tasted that bad!

After that I realized it was almost five pm and I needed to get my bum home. That and it was also looking like it was going to rain. I have stated to many people that I don’t mind traffic it is when it mingles with the weather that I have issues. They don’t mix and so shouldn’t mingle. So it was time to gear up and slab it back home. Luckily I came home to dinner which was nice, steak mmmm I ate good today!

Some bonus material:

My WHOLE route 204 miles,

that makes 342 miles for the weekend!!

Just the Germantown Ride, I think this was like 77 miles…

And the Piece’ala’resistonce

A pan shot of the stop where the wind picked up…

Hehe! It was a great ride and a great time! Thank you very much for letting tag along and certainly for letting me eat and hang out!

All pictures can be found here:

08-09-08 My own backyard
DATE: 10 Aug 2008, 7:34 pm / MOOD: Happy

Alright I have been out a few times. With and without guides so I decided to check on some of the roads I enjoyed while on their rides. This time taking it a bit slower and checking out some back roads of the back roads. This is where the GPS comes in real handy. And yes I did get lost a few times. So to start us off we traveled 138 though some of that were quick errands I needed to run... So at the start of this ride the Odo said

Open roads... Lets go! This is Red Lion Road.. This one I remembered don't count on it for all the pictures...

House in the ground

Some of you may or may not remember the Welcome to MD ride where I met up with Colleen and Carl. On that ride I had the unfortunate happenstance to drop Tyke. In doing so I broke my Camera but this.. Is the spot. I frequently reminded Tyke not to get any bright ideas. We are to remain upright and be happy with that. Thankfully she complied.

Another fun road

A stream/creek/brook depending on your meanings

Tyke and the Trees.. she so loves the trees

The two of us, and the guard rail...

Loving that new helmet btw! It does get very very noisy on the freeway but that could be because I am going to fast... :: Sweet smiles and innocent faces ::Look what I found!

A friend of mine was just telling me how he knew of covered bridges in PA well lookie that! I don't have to go to PA to find a covered bridge! Just don't ask me if it has a name... Or where it is on the map! I should have waypointed it but I forgot...Though if I really had to guess I would say it is on Jericho road...

The adventuresome duo

Me! ME ME! Can ya see me?
Te da!

Yes Tyke, we WILL go down that road!

An odd house.. And though it is blurry it is not blurry enough to have TWO windows on the roof, so don't blame that on me. I would say that kudos goes to the architect.

Best road ever! Nice road physically but really I just love the name, so catchy. Kinda grows on ya.. Hehe

Even with a cafe/grille

So I am sure most of the local haunters know wheres I am. I don't and so have to frequently check the Gps to make sure I am still in some part of the world. Well when you see a sign like this:

And your GPS unit says to go straight still... You have an Oh Holy Mother of all Motorcycles save me! And she grants your wish...
Turn on...

Weeehoooo saved! Just before the closed area:

What are they doing that they must scare me so?
New bridge!

Now if life isn't confusing enough.. Lets throw on as many road signs as we can and see who crashes into who.. Just for kicks

Don't worry no one got hurt in the making of that witty statement. I only stated an observation. So I am moving along and having a good time of it. miss one turn or another and end up on this road. I ride down it and pass this little turn off road then go Aww crap the Gps wants me to get on the freeway! Turn around! For the love that is back roads turn around! So I do... I turn around and as I am passing that little turn off road I see this purdy little white bridge and go Hummmm.. But I already passed it! Guess what? Turn around! For the love that is all purdy bridges turn around! So I do!The bridge provides crossing for this major water way.. hehe

And this foliage

But it is nice, quiet, and so it is a good place to take a break

And play with the camera while getting odd looks from people going by..

Now you may be asking why is it Sunny is smiling so widely. Well normally i would say because I was having a blast but it so happens I wasn't expecting to get this picture. I was playing with the guard rails again to use it as a holder while I timed a picture. Well I got everything set up, hit the button, ran across the path to Tyke when a car comes!! I was like great! Now I will get a car and have to do this again! So that was what I was thinking when the car passed and the picture was snapped. I guess I do smile even in Oh crap situations Hehe!Turns out the area I had found was actually a quiet little walking park. Nothing really significant that I could see.. But possibly a good stop for grouping up or picinics..

Another open road, with the exception of the car of course..

I decided that I wanted to take some other roads I had played on recently, Harford and Manor road... A few others so I went searching and got lost, I found Plesantville though and found this neat bridge. Pause here for a second. I don't have an abundant fixation on bridges they just happen and happen to be good places to take pictures. Just so we are clear. I enjoy all sorts of things, it is amazing and little things amuse me Hehe.
Back to the bridge!

So I did find the roads, albeit a bit backwards and I finished out Manor road to find nothing else of real interest. So Romeo (from last week's ride) had the right of it by picking that portion of the road. Harford, or Old Harford something like that was just awesome! To bad I kept getting stuck behind cars!! I wanted to cry really... I winded my way along and even pulled off a road, not Harford I don't think but some road I was on and took a picture just to put some distance between me and a moron with a license...

That is one thing that I noticed about CA. Sometimes it takes a little bit for the cars to actually pull over to the side to let an MC pass but they do. Here the concept doesn't seem to grasp their brain. Though I did come across a few that did I am guessing that they are motorcyclists themselves. Anyway! I digress! I took a road that I thought would be familiar Falls Road but it was nothing but goaty and filled with kamikaze squirrels... Nothing like the previous falls road I was on. But there was a bridge! Oh! But this squirrel! I gotta tell you about this freak! It was lounging in the sun in the middle of the road. I am glad it wasn't naked! Sheesh! Well I come up it jumps up starts to run one way then decides to go right into my path!! EEP! He... or she... ran into my way! Eeep! I wiggle so I don't think I hit it but I go on, get about two hundred yards then remember the fuzzy critter... Crap I have to go back and make sure I didn't hit the little creature. So I turn around, yet again, and go check. Cruse by but don't see nuffin! Awesome! I didn't hit it or it was able to get off the road.. So turn back around and head back on my way... Our way rather. Our way to another bridge! O.o....

This one over looks another body of water..

I know this bridge looks like the last bridge but I swea
