I learned to ride on a Goldwing. This is me in 1985.
Then I got a '85 Honda Shadow 700.
Twenty years and two kids later, I'm riding this bad boy...
Modifications
Replaced original beach bars with custom made Chubby Beach Bars that fit me. The original ones were way too wide (37") and too far from me.
Replaced original clear Rifle windshield with gray tinted Rifle windshield.
Changed out original ThunderHeart dual-fire ignition with Dyna 2000i single-fire ignition.
Changed out bitch pad with Motherwells chrome luggage rack.
Added Kuryakyn ISO Grips, a nice chrome drink holder, and leather bag to windshield.
I still want to change out rear mud flap and add one to the back of the front skirt. Also would like to add a tank bra. I have a BrakeAway Products cruise control that needs to be installed; but I need to find help with that one.
Two Wolves
One evening an old Cherokee sage told his grandson about a
battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son,
the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret,
greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment
inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope,
serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence,
empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute
and then asked his grandfather,
"Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
I'm a Chief-Ridin' Mama who loves the Lord and being in the wind. A very special friend of mine described me as "classy but naughty, fun yet reserved, shy yet confident, and fine as hell". I was very flattered.
I learned how to ride on a GoldWing about 20 years ago. Rode a Honda Shadow 700 until the Lord blessed me with two rambunctious and rather mschiefious sons. I just don’t know WHERE they get it from!!
I started back riding again in the spring of 2005 on a wee-bit bigger bike than what I left off with. (What was I thinking?!! lol)
I have two precious sons that I adore and miss terribly.
Ryan, 20, who is a Petty Officer 3rd Class in the Navy.
Randy, 18, who moved back to live with his dad in Florida after we homeschooled for almost seven years.
So, now I’m an empty nester and starting a new phase of my life. I'm married to a fantastic man who is everything to me ... my Snakester!
A little about me ... I love sunsets, seeing the full moon rising over the horizon, twinkling stars on a dark moonless night. I love the smell of a fireplace burning, a spring shower, and freshly cut grass. Best of all, I love cuddling and spending time with my Snake!
I love ALL the seasons ... each has its own uniqueness that I appreciate and embrace. I’m captivated by the power of thunderstorms and lightning shows. I love the outdoors: hiking, gardening, feeling the sun on my skin and the wind in my hair. I love to sit on my front porch swing and just breathe in nature, or be mesmerized by the flames of a fire, or watch clouds change formation as they drift across the sky, or watch snow gently falling outside my window. I love to hike and to sit and lose myself in God's creation and enjoying His presence.
I appreciate lots of different types of music, but I am also grateful for the sound of silence, of birds chirping, deer snorting and leaves rustling in the breeze. I also love listening to my Snake play his music down in the basement. I can hear him clear up to the second floor ... rocking the house!!
I have a great sense of humor and love to laugh and meet new people. I treat people as I would like to be treated.
FORMER
"Whoever acknowledges me before men,
I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.
But whoever disowns me before men,
I will disown him before my Father in heaven."
Matthew 10:32-33
Movies
Some of my favorites include:
"Life may not be the party we hoped for...
but while we are here we might as well dance!"
Music
Just GOTTA LOVE Brad Paisley!! His songs are so much FUN!!
..
I listen to Country, Christian, Classic Rock ... a 'lil bit of jazz ... a 'lil bit of blues.
And, of course, my MOST FAVORITE musician is ... yes, Snake!!
(Okay,so I'm smitten.) I especially love when he plays all the songs he's written for me. We even collaborate on some songs together. Way cool. He's a keeper!!
