What a fantastic day! I rode with 18 or so biker sisters all day today. Left at 6:30am and rode to Murfreesboro where I used to live to meet up with part of the bunch at a Shoney's.
Due to the traffic on Hwy 41, we had a police escort out of Shoney's to the secondary road where we turned off. I felt like I was in a funeral procession.
We took a bunch of back roads through farmland to Rock Island State Park where we rode to the falls and the "beach". Here's a picture of part of the group at the park.
We left there a took a bunch more winding back roads to Center Hill Dam and rode across the dam. That was really cool except for some AH on a crotch rocket who decided to come screaming across the dam doing a wheelie. If he would've wiped out, he would've taken most of us with him. Dumbass. I wanted to beat the snot out of him.
We continued on to Edgard Evins State Park where we stopped and had lunch. As we pulled up, it thundered.  Oh no! That's the last thing we needed. I thanked God for not letting it rain on us and we went into the restaurant to wait on the other half of our group. They got lost so we went ahead and ate! LOL. They got caught in the storm and hid out under a bridge till the torrential rain let up. We ended up with just a few sprinkles. Phew! Eventually, the whole group got together again.
We had a great time, decent food, lots of laughs and a nice ride home. Another awesome day of riding!! I got in 247 miles and got home about 4:30pm. The Chief is tucked in for the night and I'm ready for a shower and a movie!
