I finally got back on the bike today; got home from my weekend at the Delta and found my bike parked out in the street. (gulp) I bought riding overpants on Saturday - NO more excuses!

I emptied the truck, put stuff away, groaned at the pile of laundry waiting for me; checked my email; kissed my boys; petted the dogs....oh all right, already! I put on my overpants, put on my xmas socks (I don't wear socks and it's all I have), put on my jean jacket, put on my helmet asnd gloves and marched out the front door.

Last time I rode across my neigbors sidewalk - across the street! This time, I focused, remembered what I learned; pictured Dr. Donna at those right turns at a stop sign (in the RLAP video) and zoom, off I went. Not bad.

I rode two miles, got it up to 40 mph in 3rd gear and did NOT drop the bike. Made lots of turns and hurried home.

I'll be back out there tomorrow. I will overcome my fear and I will ride.

That it, take a little bit at a time. No need to rush things. Once you get the hang of it I'm sure you will be a fantastic rider.
