Watch your brother/sisters back while riding this summer.  NHTSA states that in 2006, 4,810 motorcyclists were killed – an increase of 5 percent over the 4,576
motorcyclists killed in 2005. There were 88,000 motorcyclists injured during 2006.

A graph showed the number of fatalities by state, helmeted or alcohol related.  The highest number of deaths was in Florida, 562 deaths, 53% helmeted, 46% not, and 384 were had alcohol in their system.  Next was Texas with 346 deaths, 36% helmeted, 63% not, and 192 had alcohol in their system.

Thanks, for posting this. If we all just obey the traffic laws, we would be somewhat better off.

Cheers BW Staff! -remember, if you fuck up you make it harder for the rest of us, opening the door for citizens and the government to take away our rights... If your friends fuck up, don't let'em ride drunk, or stoopid, or mechanically unsound. Let's face it, "shit happens" to all of us. I never seen that bumper sticker on the back of a Rolls Royce either... so my point is that we should be a community, we should look out for each other. That said, some are more needful than others, so deal widdit... respect is earned, so don't be habitually "needful", or work to not be so, and you'll gain more respect- but we all need each other sometimes, shit happens. All respect. Peace.
