Rode Bills Creek Rd near Lake Lure area then Old fort/SugarHill Rd to Old Fort where we caught 70 over to Marion and took Hankins rd over to Lake James. Here we had a close enconter with a doe and her fawn. Rode back into Marion and up 221 to 226a (great road)and onto the Parkway. Stopped at Mount Mitchell then Parkway back to 74a (another great road) into Lake Lure. All in all a great days ride!!

Jason,

Yes I'm very lucky. We haven't had our typical dose of afternoon thunderstorms this season which means I've been staying dry too. I've been taking lots of video of my rides so this winter I'll do my riding from my easy chair. Now I just have to put them together on DVD. I have a few on youtube that you can watch now while your wait on nicer weather. If you ever get the chance to come to the states, let me know. I've got room to put you up and can show you some of the best roads in the country.
