Blog Entry: Well tomorrow is the clubs poker run. We have been working on this for most of the year. This is the 2nd one and it has really grown from last year. We will have radio stations broadcasting on site, music, a comedian, free food and drinks, bike show, and a military helicopter landing in the parking lot. The weather has changed and the rain has moved out for a few days. All is looking good for the run. Today was the pre-run club BBQ at Cutters house. It was a good turn out. Cutter and his wife Firestorm did a great job with everything. Really I should say Firestorm did a great job and Cutter helped. There were plenty of food and drinks. Everyone was laughing and telling jokes. Then the Marines started telling Navy jokes and the Navy was telling Marine jokes but everyone was laughing at all of them. When it started getting dark everyone thanked Cutter and Firestorm and headed to where ever they were spending the night. I and Doc P. headed north to are homes. Saturday is the run. It starts at 8:30AM and the last bike in at 2:00 PM But a lot of the club members will be there at 6AM to setup. There are tents to put, up tables to set, door prizes to put out and raffles to get ready. Oh and a canoe that will be filled with drinks and iced down. With the good weather we should have a large turnout. I think it will be a busy and fun day. Then after the run we will have the post-run BBQ at Cutters house again. What can I say, we like to eat. LOL This will be when we talk about everything that went right, what didn’t work, all the fun we had, and the great people we met this year. We may even get some more members. That’s how they got me. I showed up to take some photos and do an article on the Combat Veterans Association. They found out I was a vet and after making a few friends they asked me to join. All because I went to a poker run. Lone Wolf
