Subject: Oil out the rocker cover vents - twin cam
Content: Got an 02 Road King......at about 40,000 miles I started getting oil spitting out of the air cleaner housing, coming from the rocker cover vents, no doubt. Read a little and learned it is an inhearent twin cam problem when ridden long distances, the little pissy filer media HD uses can't seperate the air/oil mixture quick enough for the high volume of air. So why does this not start ant NEW. I replaced the filter media problem subsided, for a minute, now its really bad. Got to be more to this than just normal crancase vent air. Bikes got 67K miles on her now, but not hard miles, I don't rider her hard, I just ride her alot. Anybody else have this problem....ideas, suggestions. Man I don't think I should have to be tearing into the top of that bike already...she runs great. I guess I could just live with the ol leak and make sure the ol lady don't wear her good jeans......
