Keeping things in perspective

I have been trying to figure out how to put things into perspective of my life and the lives of others since the middle of last week. I was chatting with a friend last week. We had a great conversation and such when I told her I would talk to her later. I was teaching last weekend in a town about an hour away, so communacation was not a real option for most of the weekend. I did manage to leave her a few voicemails and a text message, but didn't get a reply. I figured I had done something to upset her, so I thought I'd let things go for the rest of the weekend. I finally got to talk to her on Monday evening. She proceeded to explain the challenges she had over the weekend. Without going into detail, I would like every one who reads this to just stop and have a thought for her and her family. (nobody panic) This person is and has been one of my closest friends since we met here on BW's. I am proud to know her and know that if I ask her for a thought or help, she would be there. Friends like her are hard to find, after sharing w/ me her challenges earlier today, all I can say is that because of our conversations and messages to each other, I am reminded of the following phraise I read in customers home a few weeks ago. "This is GOD, I will be handling all of your problems today. I do not need any help from you. Therefore just give me all of your problems and you enjoy the day." To the person I am referring to, when you read this, understand that I thought of this after we talked today. Otherwise I would have said it to you this morning. Let's all keep our lives and problems in perspective. I do ask one thing of everyone, for those of you who might have figured out who I am speaking of, please do not contact her as she will tell every one in her own way and time.
