Sunday, Eric and I went on The American Legion Post 251 & The City of Duluth’s 2nd annual Memorial Ride to help build a living memorial for the Veterans, Police and Firefighters. Bubbles came on the ride too, which was great to see her. The ride was Police escorted, which was nice. The ride was about 70 miles. The weather started out nice when we started out on the ride. So we (All Wolf and I) decided not to wear my jacket. We rode for a bit… then it started to rain. It started out a light rain, then poured….So, I checked off another thing on my list of “to do’s for the new rider” I rode in the rain…. And MAN did it rain. We were able to stop so we could put on our rain gear which was nice since the rain was stinging my skin (the one time I didn’t ride with my leather jacket). I had a BLAST!! When we got back to the post, we had lunch and waited to see if our raffle tickets we bought won anything. We won a Turkey Call and a Deck of Dale Earnheart cards. All Wolf bid on some saddle bags, and won them. Now we will both have saddle bags on our bikes. At the end of the day I ended up buying a Leather Jacket that hadn’t been bid on …. It’s a NICE jacket. The liner zips out so I can wear it when it’s warm out. Now All Wolf can have his spare jacket back. Of course, we also had Our Daughter bring our Grandson up so he could show him off. It also helped that we could put the jacket and saddle bags in the car and ride home in our rain suits… which we needed because it rained pretty darn hard on the way home. We took pictures of the day and I put them on my webshots page. Check out the pictures.
